Chassis Electrical Engineer JOB DESCIPTION • Configures, customizes, maintains, and enhances software applications as required by writing efficiently operating program code from high-level functional specifications. • Analyzes and designs new systems based on business requirements and technical specifications that have been reviewed and approved by the Application Development manager. Evaluates, configures and builds front-end and sever-side applications and database integration solutions. • Installs, tests and assists with the implementation of vendor-supplied applications, upgrades, and associates operation systems upgrades. • Manages vendor technical issue resolution using vendor and IT supplied tools. • Creates unit test plans, unit tests, and debugs developed programs for new and existing programs. • Transitions tested programs to quality assurance or business analyst for systems and business acceptance testing. • Works with quality assurance and business analysts to resolve programming issues throughout project testing phases. • Maintains system database and data structure in accordance with industry and vendor standards. • Prepares documentation of developed programs in accordance with software development methodology utilizing standard templates. • Prepares estimates of work effort and reports status, activities and issues in accordance with IT procedures. • Provides technical assistance on software and acts as backup systems administrator when necessary. • Monitors all technical aspects of software, recommends, tests and implements performance-tuning solutions to assure the optimum configuration of the database, modules, and application. • Develops and maintains controls and procedures for administering the system. • Evaluates and recommends software development tools and newly announced development standards with the goal of improving development processes and deliverables. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field • 5-7 years systems programming experience with web development standards and languages • Strong knowledge in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Deployment and maintenance should include Websphere, JAS, and Citrix. • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Change Management, Security and System Administration. • Strong JD Edwards development skills, with at least 3 years of development experience with EnterpriseOne, very proficient with OMW (Object Management Workbench) OMW installation, setup and project promotions. • Proficiency in JD Edwards Report Writing and Application Design Aid tools with knowledge in configuring and programming interactive events. • Knowledge of JDE Self Service Portal development. WORKING CONDITIONS Work performed in a general office environment. May require extended hours during peak periods.
