Civil Project Engineerq CIVIL PROJECT ENGINEER PLANT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT Position Responsibilities: Civil Project Engineers are responsible for the design and management of capital and maintenance projects within an industrial environment. Reporting to a section supervisor, this position’s responsibilities will:  Analyze requesting department’s needs for new or refurbished facilities and propose viable solutions.  Prepare cost estimates, schedules and performance objectives for budget evaluations.  Design new or modified buildings, structures, or systems per applicable codes to meet production, environmental, or safety requirements.  Prepare specifications, obtain competitive bids, and acquire funding to complete assigned projects.  Supervise contractors and/or in house maintenance crews during construction, modification, and installation of approved projects.  Provide ancillary civil engineering functions to fellow engineers for projects primarily of a mechanical or electrical nature.  Progressively broaden range of projects with experience and after successful outcomes of prior projects.  Provide structural assessments and solutions to plant maintenance and operations for various projects. Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of two years engineering experience. Successful candidate will have practical experience with civil design, drafting, specification development, and project management assignments. Familiarity with building codes, corrosion affects, and heavy loads associated with an industrial environment is strongly desired. Position also requires experience assisting with the developing and maintaining of budgets and schedules. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required; AutoCAD proficiency, FE certification and ability to obtain Oregon PE license. Because we are a federal government contractor, we have special restrictions placed on us for hiring foreign nationals into certain key positions within the company. This particular position requires U.S. citizenship.
