Seeking Piano, Voice, Guitar & Violin Instructors - Westside COMPANY: Motor Music ‘N Motion School of Music LOCATION: Westside Locations: (Hillsboro/Beaverton/West Hills/Cornelious Locations) Oregon. JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Seeking Piano, Voice, Guitar & Violin Instructors. At this time we are hiring for our driving division only. This will require driving to student’s homes to teach private lessons. Motor Music ‘N Motion is currently recruiting qualified teachers to instruct beginning, intermediate and advanced private voice and piano lessons to students 6 and up. Each private lesson is offered weekly in 12 week terms, usually coinciding with the public school schedule. Instructors will teach approximately 10 hrs/week initially, with more time as the program continues to grow. Position is part-time, 1-2 days a week. JOB DESCRIPTION: Design lesson plans to students’ musical interests, learning abilities, and styles. Plan lessons, curriculum, and instruct students in piano and voice. Lessons will include the teaching of note reading and theory in addition to music repertoire. PAY: The pay is $35 - $40 per hour. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Applicant should have a degree in music or related performing arts degree, and/or pursuing a degree. Non-degree candidates will be considered on a case by case basis. Experienced piano/voice instructor and have experience working with ages 6 thru adult in private instruction. Be able to develop lesson plans. Have a car to travel to students’ homes for lessons. A love of teaching! We are looking for creative, self-motivated, and responsible individuals with experience in teaching music. Must be high energy, kid friendly, and able to dialog effectively with parents.
